Pamela Michienzi

Pamela is a Registered Psychotherapist and Art Therapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and the Ontario Art Therapy Association. Pamela completed her post graduate diploma in Art Therapy through the University of Western Ontario and received her undergraduate degree in Visual Arts minoring in Psychology also at the University of Western Ontario. She also holds a Fundamentals in Addiction certification from Fanshawe College.

Pamela is a warm hearted, empathetic individual. She believes that each person is unique and holds within themselves the unlimited potential to overcome life’s obstacles and to reach their personal, professional and relationship goals. She believes that within themselves each person possess the ability to relate to their individual life experiences with understanding, compassion and acceptance of themselves. Pamela believes in a holistic approach to wellness and achieving goals through developing people’s individual strengths.

Pamela offers talk-based psychotherapy, art therapy and some play-based therapy. She has extensive experience working in the addictions and mental health field with a focus on youth and young adults. Pamela also supports families in improving their communication as well as understanding their behaviours, experiences, and difficulties. Pamela assists in guiding and providing support regarding each role within a family unit.

Pamela works with children, youth, adults and families from diverse ethnicities, life experience, occupations and those of the LGBTQ+ community. Pamela believes that healing is not one-size-fits-all and offers a holistic, creative, and person-centered approach that sees the whole individual—not just the issue. Every person holds the ability to overcome life’s difficulties, and she is there to help them reconnect with that inner strength.
